This is more of a continuation of my previous role than a new position. Reporting to the Head of the Development Group, I am responsible for investigating new web and internet based technologies from an editorial viewpoint which may benefit Virgin Net and its subscribers. I am also responsible for advising on and implementation of new projects, whether for Virgin Net or for third parties.

Reporting directly to the Creative Director, I was responsible for the implementation and development of the Virgin Net Channel, the push channel on the Internet Explorer 4 desktop. Since this was developed, it has continued to exist but is now generated automatically.

I was involved heavily with the development of www.virgin.net, as well as the Internet presence for other companies within the Virgin Group. I was responsible for the implementation and delivery of the award winning Virgin Atlantic website. As part of my production role, I was responsible for the implementation of The Independent's Election 97 website ensuring that it was visible in the majority of browsers available.
